Just when he got comfy

We finally moved TJ's chair back in the house. Vacuumed it all up. Called him to it. He jumped up, circled around and settled in with a big long sigh. Then came the Moose. TJ got a few seconds of relaxation. LOL

Tape and Numbers

Seamus has been very excited that I am taking a class that involves cutting out a lot of numbers and letters. Once I have done my assignment, he gets to have the letters. He told me he wanted to tape his numbers. He is showing off his tape in the first photo and his numbers were just randomly on the table.

I am very proud of the second photo because I only had to help him get the pieces of tape. Seamus put his numbers in order all on his own! He also told me where to hold them until he taped them down, so they are a little more aligned than most 2 year olds would do. I may have lined them up a little nicer when he was busy showing Brad his piece of tape at each number. Still, I am pretty impressed with his skills.

Pals

This is Seamus and Carson. They are two wild animals when they are together. Carson brought over slinkies which were not put down from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. This included taking them to a 4-H fundraiser! We got to listen to the little metal slinky noise in the house, in the car, at dinner, during a movie....basically allllll night long. But they were having so much fun, you couldn't get annoyed with the noise because it was usually over powered by their belly laughs.

Bowling Ball

This is the picture of Seamus's bowling ball....taken by Seamus. And by Seamus's ball, I mean the one at the bowling alley he has used twice so he claims it as his own now. We have a lovely video of him cleaning the ball, but it wont upload at the moment.

Artist

I gave Seamus a canvas to paint while I was doing a painting of my own. He worked so hard, silently concentrating, for about 15 minutes. It was time for nap so I set his painting aside to dry. When he got up, he looked at his painting and told me he needed to do more colors. Kid after my own heart! His painting is now proudly hanging on the wall at the landing of the staircase.

Walking in new "boots"

We took Seamus to open skate because he loves watching hockey and talks about playing all of the time. We asked if he wanted to go skate on the ice and he got very excited. We tried this once last year and he wouldn't even consider putting on the helmet. This year, he let me put his skates right on AND the helmet (it was blue, so that helped a lot). He walked with ease in his skates. He watched Brad skate a few laps. He mentioned the little girl on the ice was doing a "good job walkin". But when the time came to see if he wanted to go on the ice, he looked at us like we were nuts and told us "No. Ice slippery." Not sure how we are going to get around that hurdle, but we will hit the ice again soon.

Keep up with the Cousins

I decided I should probably make a blog about Seamus so all of the cousins can keep up with each other. I'm going to do several posts right now of some of my favorite pictures and videos of late, but I will be on more of the Jaime schedule rather than the the Amanda schedule!
